HoR is literally the wow equivalent of a gold star or a banana sticker. I can't see why peoples panties are so up in knots about what class it's given to... has no bearing except making someone look cool in Ironforge or PVP. Give it to the person who gives the most shits about PVP, who can do 560000000 BGs without falling asleep at their keyboard and then still respec, and show up to every single raid and perform well, for maximum 'I look cool' exposure.

This pretty much, the fact that people whine about what people outside of their guild does with a pvp weapon is hilarious to me.
oh, ok.

Despite the "lolret" mentality of the server, there are Ret Paladins on the server that do raid. HoR is BiS for a PvE Ret outside of Ironfoe (which requires spellpower to work) and Naxx Weapons.

No serious guild would use a ret paladin in raids.
oh, ok.

Very few guilds choose to bring them to raids - it looks like only 4 retribution paladins have any raidstats listed on Ragnaros on this server. So if that is a valid thing for your guild, great! For most guilds ret is not a factor.

See, this is the thing that has made me curious for a while now. The game is 10 years old. People know how to not keyboard turn and how to use macros, have figured out correct Addons to use for raiding, and have this wealth of knowledge involving these ancient encounters with what gear to wear, consumables to farm, enchants and gear to use, etc...

This isn't 2005. People have fast, reliable internet in this age as opposed to the early stage variety of DSL and Cable internet. So when you formed up a 40 man raid back then, you expected people to drop in intensive fights. And that shit doesn't happen now due to ISP quality.

Can someone name me a decent reason WHY an off spec or 5 isn't included in a raid, just for the hell of it? It's not going to do jack-all to the chances of downing an encounter. Is it a peer pressure thing of "well, Bob is a Warlock which is a proper DPS stacking class that he chose to level and be a part of our raid. So this means Walter is a horrible person for showing up as Ret because he's not a part of our core line-up that we depend on for damage."

I mean seriously, what part of Onyxia or MC is all that hard?
