Whether the item was worth less than the vendor price in AH, or if it were worth 1million gold, a BoE that is going to be equipped by a party member should only be needed by said party member, while those that are going to cash on it (whether by vendoring it or by getting 1million gold on AH) would greed it.

If it's a pug then you most definitely should roll need on a boe, that 300g could buy 9 black lotus that would be way more beneficial than a decent tank weapon that is eclipsed by a zg weapon.

It's not his rules. It's how the underlying assumption works. You're simply tweaking the system out of pure and raw greed.
Imagine dungeons when people are undergeared and a BoE green drops. The person who is undergeared, will probably hit need on said green BoEs to improve his set. Nobody else will hit need, because well, they're not going to use it. No feathers are ruffled.

I have had Hanzo's Sword drop for me, a rogue in team did need it, he asked about it, I said go for it, in spite of the protests of some randomer warlock. Rogue got to need it, he equipped the item, everyone moved on.

The fact it is a blue BoE, doesn't change the principle. Same with a purple BoE. You're supposed to need it only if you are going to use said item. The fact these excuses and misconstrued points of view are put out there, just show how petty greed moves tiny people like you. And sadly, you're probably the majority.

Also dont compare this with cases like strat UD tanks rolling on barons cloak, there is litterarely not a single tank drop in that dungeon so you are bound to grp with a fury tank.

It's the opposite. There are shitters here that think they own everything they could potentially use. When you run a 5 man with strangers you don't own any BoE drop.

When the group lets you have a BoE it's out of generosity.
