And what happens when people finally hit 60? When thousands of people are trying to farm for the same rep or mats? The situation doesn't change if the current one isn't addressed.

This is a good point. I am guessing that you wont be able to farm anything, because every higher lvl zone will have like 500 people.

That sounds forking awesome. Imagine the giant battles. It might actually be like it was back in the day.

it has never ever been like that

Most other servers aren't worse scripted than this one (sometimes even better) but simply lack the population and maelstrom it creates. Hype is 95% of Nostalrius' success.
The big population is the major thing going for Nostalrius. If you don't like it, other servers are better suited to you and would welcome you with open arms.

Because we can look ahead unlike braindead people like you, there will be massive problems pretty soon if things are not adressed

In regards to big battles . . . sure there were. Crossroads and all that crap is one of the most quoted "I remember blah blah" and "Wish I could do that again" PvP nostalgias. Never been replicated. Maybe we can. I doubt it but here's hoping.

Anyways. I think you guys are underestimating how much it sucks to level 1x. Really think 10 million people (or whatever the last census count was) are gonna make it?
You are not special. No one knows your name. No one will remember your name. Nothing you do will matter. Ever.

I doubt that there will be "massive problems". If people don't like the competition they'll leave, making the server a bit less populated in the long run. It evens out after a while.

Like I said, there are some other servers out there who could really use a couple hundred (if not thousand) more players. I myself am not really actively playing on Nost because it's too much work to get quests done and I don't like PvP when it's forced on me. If you don't mind lower populations there are better servers out there than Nostalrius. Nostalrius is just the only vanilla server right now that was able to create a hype big enough to draw in a "blizzlike" amount of players. Why take that advantage away? People are joining Nost because of it. The huge pop is the reason why players flock to this server. The server has many players because it has many players.

Nope, it will make the server dead instead of less populated

Yeah this will be a major issue with 6000 when retail servers had upwards of 20000 players. This isn't an overpopulation issue, it's that people forgot what it's like to have players around. Deal with it, find new spots to level and farm, the game is huge but people only travel to a limited amount of locations and camp the hot spots. Fighting for resources is textbook Vanilla.

Not only do u have to compete with your own faction for quest mobs/items but then you have to fight horde gank parties that camp every zone/quest area. 5000-6000 is just way too many people on 1 server and the bottlenecks are too real.

I would abandom my level 42 to play on the 2nd server if it ment population would be 1500-2500

Hey triggerlily,

I think this is a temporarily problem that will be resolved by itself. We are at the stage when 99% of players didn't reached max level, and it will not happen until 1-2months before we will see this percentage way lower. I think when the 20-30% of active players will reach lvl 60, other zones will be much more enjoyable to play then they are at the moment. If it is really bothering you, I would just grind/do instances like you do, or just wait for a month of two, and then start leveling up. I am sure the process will be much faster, because I know that it is pain in the ass to have to wait for a mob to spawn for 4', and then somebody else kills it.

20,000 characters sure, but few servers had 6+k players online concurrently. There's big difference between character population and concurrent online connections.
