I'm pretty sure if people were doing this literally the SECOND AV launched, Blizz would have done something similar. It wasn't designed for group queueing and you exploited to get easy rep and honor.

Then this is Nostalrius' chance to initiate its own new policy of removing/blocking group queues from all battlegrounds, not just AV, let these short bans be the first step.

Why didn't the admins or Gms just contact the affected parties and tell them to stop using the macro/lazypig while they were fixing it? I'm sure they would've complied since I highly doubt they want their accounts suspended.

Exactly.. How hard is it to say to the people in question that this is not allowed and stop using it or you'll be banned and then post on the forums letting people know you can't use it.

Can't help but feel people were banned just to get this over reaction and make a statement to people who may have thought about doing something similar in the future.. pretty stupid reaction from staff.

id say the official response is pretty obvious with three day 1 players banned (for using a function that was built into the Nost version of AV)

Yes but I'm unsure what do those addon do exactly.
Do they all use the /script command? Is there any addon that does not use it?

Cause I got a reply from a Gm saying that addons are ok to use. So I'm really confused.
