Find a guild with level headed officers and LC and you will win. DKP awards lazy players either way you spin it because points are awarded for attendance. Not performance.

Superior in what sense?

For speed-running tryhards?

This is 10 year old content. You could have your main tanks in rags and still speed run everything up to AQ. Hell, even Naxx isn't going to be as hard as it was 10 years ago.

Loot Council is a nice excuse for Officers and Leaders of guilds to gear themselves without having to answer to the rest of the guild. DKP is the only FAIR choice and anything you say to rebuttal this would just be considered retarded. This is fact. Loot Council exists to gear specific members and roles in a guild, which is fine, for bleeding edge content.

This is a fucking Vanilla private server.

If you don't like the Guild Rules simple = switch to another Guild that will suit you with their Guild Rules.

If you don't like the way Guilds do = Create you own Guild.

after all it's their own choice and everyone else can cry harder only...

No, loot council exists because people are lazy and running a DKP system efficiently requires some actual work.

I ran a guild with DKP before, running LC now and there is much, much more work with LC, than DKP.

getting loot with dkp is like getting a medal for participating

winners use LC

if you're a shit player pick dkp cause you wont get anything in an LC guild

Actually, I would agree with this. DKP can be just as shitty as a LC, it truly depends on the neckbeards, or lack thereof, running it.

Typically, a truly intricate DKP system, will be far more favorable than LC in any scenario. Ohr's "Billy" mockup was cute but it was based on a super basic DKP. One that is good will have DKP decay so little neckbeard Billy can go get cucked.

Every single loot method is flawed. This has been known since day 1.
Try to guess which is LC and which is DKP.
My top 10 examples:

  1. - You don't deserve any loot because you failed way too many times this raid.
    - YOU CANT JUDGE ME! I SPENT MY TIME HELPING YOU GUYS AND I...
    * Has been removed from the guild.
  2. - Oh, you've showed up enough times while failing every encounter, here's your shiny item!
    - Gee, thanks!
    * Has left the guild.
    * Has left the guild.
    * Has left the guild.
    - *sigh*..
    * Has left the guild.
  3. - I need this and I deserve it, so I'm taking it.
    - That's no way to run a gui..
    * Has been removed from the guild.
  4. - I truly hope X doesn't show up to this raid, cause if he's not, I'm totally grabbing Y for myself.
    - Hey guys, what'd I miss?
    - I HOPE YOU DIE IN A FIRE YOU NOLIFE PIECE OF $#!T, WHY CAN'T YOU SKIP AT LEAST ONE RAI..
    * Has been removed from the guild.
  5. - Man, X is a way better loot system than the one we're using now.
    - Dude, leave the guild if you don't like it.
    - I .. can't ..
  6. - Man, X is a way better loot system than the one we're using now.
    - Dude, leave the guild if you don't like it.
    * Has left the guild.
    - *sigh* ..
  7. - Anyone want this almost-bis item?
    - Anyone?
    - You guys have green gear and you still don't want it?
    - We are planning ahead!
    - Guess we're disenchanting it.
  8. - Anyone wants this almost-bis item?
    - [Everyone] GIEF NAO PLES OMAFGAD
    - *psst*, wanna make some money, bro?
    - how much we're talkin about?
    ...
    - Okay, so everyone needs it but I'm giving it to (*psst*) first. Don't worry guys, it'll drop again.
  9. - Aren't you joining the raid? You're in Orgrimmar.
    - Nah, can't be assed, I'm #1 anyway.
  10. - Aren't you joining hte raid? You're in Orgrimmar.
    - Nah, can't be assed, I got everything from there anyway.

DKP:
1. Billy has no life. Billy attends every single raid since the guild is formed.
2. Billy will always have more DKP than anyone who joined the guild after him.
3. Billy outbids everyone on items that are barely an upgrade, or he wants them for the looks
4. Billy is the only one who gets gear just because he joined the guild earlier than other members.
5. A guild will have an amount between 4 and 20 Billies
6. The remaining raiders will have to save up for weeks until they can outbid all of the Billies in their guild to receive even one item.
7. The only thing holding people back from leaving the guild would be internet points (DKP) that they have, yet are unable to use sufficiently due to the amount of Billies in the guild.

LC Scenario:
1. 4-10 Billies are members of loot council
2. All Billies are of a different class and want different loot.
3. If Billies continue to take the loot from everyone else, the guild will break apart and there is a constant fear that wrongful item distribution can cause the guild to Shatter.
4. Billies are aware of this and distribute loot as evenly as possible, gearing up the most important raiders first (Tanks) and making sure everyone is happy with the decisions made, otherwise the guild breaks apart.
5. If the Billies are idiots, the guild disbands within a month or two. If they are somewhat competent, the guild successfully progresses and everyone is happy about the loot.

Now which Billy do you want to be?

P.S. Next time, keep threads like these inside your guild forums where they belong.

HAHA I fucking love this! Damn Billies man :D
