Well honestly, I hear a lot of stories about hackers who just like to see if they can manage to do it, so I could see why he would give it all away. You have to figure he knows he wouldn't get away with it, might as well try and fuck over a bunch of people in the process, or yeah he sold for RL cash/stuff.
