Because most people use world chat for these purposes. world chat is used exactly like one of these 'official' channels but the server staff want to deny that it is an 'official' channel. If you want to use one of the 'official' channels you won't get any/as many responses because no one uses them.
GUESS WHAT? WE KNOW IT'S A PRIVATE CHANNEL THAT THE OWNER CAN DO ANYTHING HE WANTS WITH. GUESS WHAT ELSE? THAT'S A PROBLEM FOR THE REASONS STATED ABOVE. INSTEAD OF BEING A PUSSY AND SAYING "OH THAT'S LIFE" SOME PEOPLE WANT TO CHANGE THE SITUATION.

Also, bellerophon, you have got to be shilling me. Obviously I am talking about free speech in general in that post.
