I got my chars gear/bags deleted and gold stolen on retail a few weeks ago.

Everything got returned just hours after submiting a ticket. They didn´t do anything about the thief and he is still running around with my 60k gold ... but I got everything back nonetheless.

So just stop dicking around and return everything if there is a charDB backup.

I had a similar situation back on ED where my character was hacked, it was my own mistake though for sharing it with a "friend". At that point I had no idea if my gear was as well deleted as from feenix support I would have to pay real money for gear retrieval. It was such a relief when I got it back and saw that only golds and materials were stolen. It was the shittiest feeling I had even though were talking about pixels here. What bothered me most that people like this exist who don't care a tiny bit how much time you invested on your character.

This is 2015. In order for you to get your account hacked, you either need to be completely retarded (and use the same pw for multiple accounts across safe and unsafe platform) or have in the past/are currently sharing your account with someone else.
As I generally do not take people to be completely braindead, I'd assume the latter.

Each and everyone can get accidentally share password and or stolen by hack tools.

For example i copy past my password every time because very crypted, only one time i accidentally past it in wow chat must been tired. ohh wait /retarded.
Or someone thinks to download a cool addon yet it steels there password.

We are not able to change our password.
We can't change E-mail.
We can't lock IP to account.
No account manager.
No safety.
