This isn't even my thread, and to be honest, I've never been killed by someone on a rooftop, Only through the roof, which has been deemed against the rules. What I'm calling into quest truely is the GMs competence to communicate with eachother, Why have I had 2 different responses via ingame communication with GMs on this? Along with other issues that I've had fellow guildies be "Warned" about further action for, aka Sheeping someones mob. Make some clear lines in the sand is all I'm saying.

1.) This isnt even an exploit
2.) It happened on retail
3.) We got a GM response
So anybody still complaining, il make sure to corpsecamp you for dayzzzz if ever see you

How the hell are you going corpse camp someone? That lock one level under you tore you apart, lol.

And you tried to kill another buddy of mine in Darkshire a few hours ago, 28 mage... FAILED. lol

Then that rogue camped you again, and again, and again.

Anyway, Blizzard CLEARLY stated in multiple of their replies that this is considered an EXPLOIT, and is a bannable offense. Why do you cry so much about wanting this unfair advantage, but then whine like a bitch when someone jumps on you in wpvp?

I'm not in any guild you have camped. Nor have you camped me. Nor could you if you wanted.

I killed you until you were worth no honor today, then I killed you some more. We made you take rez sickness at LEAST 2 times, but probably a third time in Duskwood when you failed to kill the lvl28 mage and got camped by another rogue.

Blizzard said it's a damn bannable offense, I remember people getting in trouble for it.

Again, I don't know why you're such a fan of THIS type of cheap shit play, but whine when a rogue pops on you. Also, in case you forgot, I'm a level UNDER you, and destroyed you 15-20 times earlier. :D:D:D

Expect to see me again, as your corpse hits the ground.

Cant find that they have banned anyone for it(dident look super much) but they did add the guards becouse they dident want that to occur becouse far from everyone is as "good" as you all to get up everywere and that give those ppl a much, much, much bigger chans on killing someone.
It is just sad to see ppl try too talk down to ppl that just want a equal battlefield and nothing else. If you wanna stand on a roof and be a dick then sure be that but dont think that ppl will even think off you as a threat even if you kill that person 200 times becouse all you are is a weak person that dont wanna fight on normal grounds.

This. I also have had two different whispers from GM'S--one saying to stop and the other claiming that it is acceptable (unless killing through buildings w/ blizzard/volley). Can we please get a unified answer to safespotting finally???

Safe spotting goes against everything i find fun about world pvp. A fair fight is the only fight worth having. Blizzard was bad at programming and so safe spotting happened, not because they wanted it to, but because they where faulted. The purpose of this server was to recreate the feeling of vanilla and the emotional response and excitement brought about its perfect imbalance. I find roof safe spotting a problem because it takes away from what the game was suppose to be. If pvp was meant to be allowed in Gadg, then remove the guards. Fine. I know what im getting into then when i go there (just like at the shimmering flats raceway). The presence of guards just creates confusion, if said guards cant adequately protect the players in their vicinity. Looking at this from the eyes of a player first visiting Gadg, think how un-immersed and slighted said player would feel getting killed in a location they felt was safe? It would be like getting killed in friendly territory because someone found an exploit to make you get flagged for pvp involuntarily. Its deceptive, it was not intended, and I think it does a lot more harm for the game then good. With the implementation of dynamic spawn rates, and the adjustment of resource nodes, we are past the point of trying to adhere to an unyielding "blizzard knows best" point of view. Nos was created to succeed where blizzard went wrong, I feel. Blizzard can make mistakes, just look at Cata onwards. Im all for preserving the integrity of vanilla wow with it's perfectly imperfect balancing. As such, i think anything that is annoying or inconvenient but with a purpose (ie: gold costs on respecs) should be allowed and embraced as part of the experience. However, when something in the game is deceptive and requires you to access outside sources in order for you to gain understanding (ie: looking up how to get on the gadgetzen roof) I think it has to go; if and only if it negatively affects many other players or creates an unfair advantage for yourself. You wanna kill other players with impunity? Fine! Level to 60 and work hard to get better gear so that you can beat anyone (or roll a rogue lol). Otherwise, be an adult and look your foe in the eye when you decide to twist the dagger.
