yea, its funny to see people come out of their skin for this.

everyone forgets that there is no better server, not even close.

So that makes them immune to criticism? That just makes the situation worse because for better or worse we are all stuck here, so we would rather see it change for the better then the worse. How is this hard to understand?

Unfortunately this is no longer true. Nostalrius has fundamental issues and zero communication. Most people have done the mc/bwl grind on other failed servers, AQ and Naxx are the draw. And even TBC and Wrath. If you want to see what can happen to a high pop server and no content or communication for months, look to Emerald Dream. Most of the high end guilds quit and AQ was poor, I have no idea if it ever recovered but it was sad.

I think the only reasonable demand we can make is communication but there's been nothing for nearly two weeks now. Patch 1.4 is massive and either you can choose to believe this is where their attention is currently at or that Nostalrius has fallen on hard times and the 4k+ players still levelling here are just wasting their time.

This server got whats needed to give authentic experience and your behaviour is also part of it. what you write is in the same style whiners wrote when retail was in vanilla.

Yes the population is great, but how will you feel if the high end raiding guilds start leaving for greener pastures. Will it still be the best server? If you played original WoW you'll know population was pretty much everything, and WoW was wildly popular and shiny and new to keep people playing through the content droughts. Nos does not have that luxury and to be clear, I don't want to see it fail. If things carry on like this, come back to me in a year and we'll see who was right.

This is the best server. If kronos had more devs (particularly ones that gave a hoot), it would definitely be FAR superior. Using "it's free" as an excuse is not allowed, as some of us donated to keep this server going so the devs can complete their unachievable dream of being bigger than molten-wow. However, the nostalgia you once experienced way back when is not going to be achievable and they definitely should allow more people to test..

On SuplexGod's list of issues, # 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 are unique to Nostalrius. Servers such as Valkyrie and Kronos do not have those problems, because the Devs had the skill to either avoid them or solve them. I never played on Emerald Dream so I'm uncertain what that server is like in terms of quality.

If you could point me to another 1.12.1 server that has half or more of those issues AND has the draw distance fixed at 40 yards on the server side, I might buy into your Kool Aide of "no better server". At the moment the topic is about server announcement information, what players are flat out told, and if server staff credibility with their words and the proposed timeline are honest. At the moment we're seeing that honesty is a nebulous thing with the staff, so now it's a matter of what response at all will be given to the issue.

8k online isn't authentic, no server in Vanilla had 8k. You can not herb on this server because there's too many fucking people and the herb spawn rate is NOT authentic. Having 1.12 talents with shit gear and only MC is NOT authentic. This server is not the best server ever just because there's people playing it. Totems resisting is NOT authentic, DM buffs being overwritten is NOT authentic, the huge issues in DM are NOT authentic, Garr being in a complete fucked up state is NOT authentic, banning people for killing NPCs is NOT authentic, AV being the joke that it is is NOT authentic, AoE being fucked to the degree which it is is NOT authentic. The lack of draw distance is NOT authentic.

What's wrong with Garr? I've only seen him occasionally Allahu Akbar Banished adds, and that's really rare.
