This has been discussed and beaten to death a few times already. I don't know why it needs more threads. People rarely even use this exploit, and it even more rarely helps the match. AV is so heavily rigged for the Alliance that this doesn't matter.

If the win ratio is roughly 50/50 despite the backdoor, then I'd say it's part of the overall balance and without it we'd be seeing a large shift toward Ally victories. Stop turtling at the bridge, and we can all get through games in a reasonable amount of time. The only reason anyone started going backdoor is because of the turtling. Allies can put 5-10 mages/hunters at the bridge and hold off the entire horde offensive while the rest of their raid easily storms the Horde base, even if we have 10 defending. It will fall. Also, as others have said, it's not difficult to defend the backdoor.

As Horde, once we are inside the Ally base we have to kill pretty much every NPC over, and over, and over, and over, and over. Does this happen at the Horde base? Answer honestly.

No it doesn't, because horde base isn't the main chokepoint. IB is. And yes it happens at IB.

Paintrain with +20 alliances and you will be able to pull elites backwards into your own lines to kill the lieutenants that never reset, once they're done you can freely push onto the graveyard and keep on going.

God forbid you realize how the dun'baldar choke can be held by ~five mages rotating mana for blizzard, a hunter and some warlock dotting shit that tries to reach the front (assisted by elite archers hitting for 700).

Icewing is equally as deadly if defended. Put 10 people in the landmine area in front of Icewing and they are untouchable. With all the lieutenants and the mine layer spawning every couple minutes, I've seen half the Horde trapped there without much Ally resistance at all.
