It's the opposite. There are shitters here that think they own everything they could potentially use. When you run a 5 man with strangers you don't own any BoE drop.

When the group lets you have a BoE it's out of generosity.

So if by chance, a very very good loot drops, it has stats with intel, stamina, spell damage and crit, it's ok for a warrior to roll on it, is that what you are saying ?

Valuable BoE item drops and it's considered polite to greed:

1) Guy A is nice person and greeds
2) Guy B is nice person and greeds
3) Guys C and D are nice and greed
4) Guy E sees that everyone greeded, needs, takes item and leaves group

Press NEED > Win item is fair game. Roll NEED on valuable BoE items is fair game. Someone needs something he cant wear or you think he shouldnt have needed on > remove him from group.

My verdict is that Plebiterator is a bitter moron and Baggenxd did nothing wrong. Plebiterator should publicly apologize both to Baggenxd and Honorous (gratz on killing ragnaros by the way) and delete this thread.

Also, i would like to add that system where you NEED on BoE items that sell for gold benefits EVERYONE while greeding on BoE benefits only idiots (who rather have sub par item than gold for mount or consumables or actually good items) and overly polite people because it makes them feel good.

Because with valuable BoE drops the price can be quantified with gold, which is the reason, why it can not be considered a ninja looting if there is no agreement. As I said in my previous post, the value of the item is EXACTLY the same in terms of gold, why should one not be allowed to have a fair chance at that gold?

Well we can copy paste your reason to BOPs aswell, because EVERY item even BOP items have value written in gold once sold to vendor, so everyone passing or greeding and others needing to equip are effectively losing gold, even if it is ONLY or ''only'' (depending on how poor you are) 3 or 5g.....

The logic cannot be different regardless of gold amount.... it starts on 1 copper!


The fact is, the guy is a ninja. Because if you consider NEED/GREED rolls for dropped items as

NEED = i need it to sell it to buy consumables for raid

Then noone is ever a ninja, because you can sell BOEs or BOPs... and you are always effectively losing gold if you greed and others need on BOP items!

Actually no Aliriya, BoP case is diametrically different.

As for BoE, I have already explained how that works.

But for BoP the value of one item might and often is much greater than the value of the vendoring/disenchanting price. For example a Turban's value cannot be quantified in gold for spellcasters, because you cannot acquire that item any other way than by winning a roll. Ofcourse you can say, that the people not needing on such an item are losing gold, but the value is what matters here. As for BoE items acquirable on AH, both parties lose/gain the same amount of gold, as for BoP items on person gains 1-10g and the other loses probably hundreds/thousands gold, by having to do the instance over and over again, in which time he could have farmed consumables, gold, other items. I don't know why this is so difficult to understand for you people, but sometimes you gotta let go and just admit that you are wrong.

Let me give you an example from real life. Let's say you have a girlfriend you want to propose to. One day you walk on a sidewalk and spot a diamond ring lying on the ground, but one other person spots it too. You both rush to it and grab it at the same time. Does the fact, that you want to propose to your girlfriend gives you any more right to the ring than the other guy, just because he doesn't have a girlfriend and just wants to sell it? If your answer is yes, I'd advise you to seek a help from a proffessional counselor.
