Anyone is merging everything here, we hear cheat, acc trade, acc sell, doing shit, high price, but stay on the ground, it's only account sharing, then now we all know that the owner will get back his account and you'll continue to hate me because you get a 30 years old pain in the ass.

Hopefully the GM's are making their own decisions and not going off what we say here. They should read our opinions, of course, and they should make public some of the decisions they make and the reasonings behind them, but ultimately the decisions are theirs, and we need to realize that.

Now, as to the followup of something to the effect of "well your conversation shows that you were going to multi box," that's just silly. For one, there's a fundamental difference between what we colloquially think "multi boxing" is and alt-tabbing or putting your characters on follow behind each other. Multi-boxing requires 3rd party programs to effectuate its goals. The other, just two clients and alt-tabbing. Which type of act was he going to do? You don't know. Secondly, preemptive action to punish someone upon reliance on their past or present statement, without actually seeing the act in question, is a little too thought-policey for the subject matter at hand.

Whatever, though. Just my perception.

Section III goes over "cheating and account sharing" which would show sharing and gifting to be one in the same by context. So sharing would be prohibited as well. I will leave a note to Viper to add to the verbiage to avoid an issue like this.

How about multi-boxing and bots ?
You're not allowed to use any form of program to control multiple characters at once. We only allow 2 characters online simultaneously for professions (not involving any kind of farming) and banking items (e.g creating an item and/or inserting an item). This means you cannot /follow or level 2 characters at once. This will result in a ban of one of the two, and if repeated, both. It is also not a problem if you are, for instance, three family members in the same house, playing at the same time. Each multi-box case will be judged individually, so don't worry if you're not doing anything wrong. What you can't do, is PvP with multiple characters, Dungeon with multiple characters, Raid with multiple characters, etc.

If you are two people playing two characters - no problem. If you are 5 people playing 5 characters - no problem.
Once a player get caught, GM shall ask him which account he want to keep, all others accounts shall receive a permanent closure.

ToU prohibits both. The only time you can use two accounts at once is for professions and banking items.

It seems like a lot of the bans are grey areas while the nost staff are very black and white about their rules. They are making a statement and drawing a definative line in the sand that not even one toe can cross. All I can say is if you dont want to get banned stop venturing into the grey area. Take a step back and ask yourself if this could be regarded as an exploit or violations of terms.

"Multi" as a prefix is applicable to any quantity greater than one. One person playing two or more characters at the same time is classed as multi-boxing.
