I have a feeling all the players asking for a new server aren't even close to 60

I am actually level 15 on my priest currently just getting ready to go into Red Ridge today but yes most of the new people are asking for a new server because the constant ganking from high levels, people from our own factions dropping Infernals or stiches in Goldshire or Westfall to kill the NPCs and people is not really fun.

when a new person joins the server and see trolls doing this they will generally quit because shit like that didn't happen live in vanilla, there is no respect for people now compared to back then.

Kind of funny how people who arent even level cap yet are suggesting a change that could potentially kill the server.

How is it funny? you guys want more people and a bigger population on the server yet you are jerks and such to all the new people that just want to experience it. Hard to actually gain a population when you do stuff like this new people will just leave and go else where.

Instead of choosing to level in the most populated areas why not go to loch modan or darkshore?

There are still fair numbers of players in these zones but the numbers don't even compare to how over crowded westfall is

From last Sundays data, out of 8050 people online 6802 were not lvl 60, and that's almost 85%. Do you really think it's a good idea to ignore them?

And you know what else could 'potentially kill the server'? No doing anything about this.

Releasing a new PvE server would bring in plenty of new people who love Vanilla but hate PvP servers.

There are no quality PvE Vanilla servers on the market as far as I know.

The server can handle over 10k people, it just needs better hardware.

a lot of software optimization has been done so that the realm can handle a lot of players (more than 10.000 players). However, we are now facing a new problem: Hardware limitation.

So the solution would be to upgrade the current hardware, NOT add a second realm.

And peacehammer this is a PvP realm, quit trying to split our population. If you want a PvE server then go play on a PvE server.

some suggestions of separating instances/raids into a separate server would alleviate lag created by a high population on the world.

This is a good idea, not sure how viable it would be for a private server project though...
