you typed some words but you didn't really say anything

Well said Böw. How come you're spot on half of the time and a full blown retard the other half of the time? Forum accountsharing? :o

I just joined the loot council guild Ritual. After joining up and getting in bwl with them staying for 4 hours doing most of the kiting on the first boss and hunter loot dropped on both bosses the guild leader told everyone that the hunter class officer was to receive ALL hunter loot until he had it all because it was simply better that way. I even asked if it was the kind of loot council guild that did this before joining and he said no. Loot council guilds are fucking stupid and they always end up the same.

8/8 DS to one person makes sense for the set bonus.

But more importantly -

You were on your very first raid with them. Staying for 4 hours and doing hunter kiting is expected, not some super special extra thing you did, thats what raiding is.

There are a lot of 8/8 sets that function the same way, priest T2 8 pc is also good to finish off on 2 people instead of giving everyone 5/8 for example, you finish off 8/8 on one person, and ideally on a second person if you can because the set bonus benefits your raid. It benefits your, and every hunters DPS for 1 hunter to be 8/8.

You would have probably gotten the belt on their next kill, and offset pieces such as DFT, Ashjrethul, Prestors etc obviously wouldn't have been included in that 'all hunter gear' simply set pieces.

No.

The returns you get from rushing one player to 8/8 might be better for the raid in some abstract sense, but it's not necessary for progression, and won't provide such amazing returns that it's vital or even important to do.

What's important is (1) fairness in distribution, and (2) keeping your players happy so they want to keep playing.

Unhappy players and unfair distribution are a cancer that will eat at your guild, causing substantive harm, all in exchange for virtually no real returns.
