Ok, few things.
1. It's worth noting that imbalanced gearing across the playerbase can be an actual issue in this case that directly affects all players not part of a bleeding edge guild, assuming the timeline goes too quickly. The reason this is, is because the server is defaulted to PvP, nobody had a choice in that regard. That means lesser geared players' experiences are directly affected by the gear of their opposition.
2. The Nos team sticking to the "Blizz-like" guns is a commendable affair, but we all have to accept that absolutely 100% Blizz-like is impossible without a time machine or some sort of brain reset mechanism. Everyone knows these encounters like the back of their hand, has played their corresponding classes for years in to expansions way beyond. To expect similar performance to what happened 10 years ago under these conditions is 100% impossible. It is therefore logical that the timeline may not adhere to a "blizz-like" frame of time, and it shouldn't given the circumstances.
3. I have commended <Grizzly> and further commend <NOPE> for their haste in clearing the raids, but I do believe that their members opinions on release time frame should be taken with a grain of salt, because it's obvious what they want and why they want it. The vast almost 99% of the rest of the realm has a differing opinion, and it makes more sense to take that input in before making a decision.
4. I think this issue could easily be solved by adding just a single condition in to the timeline before it advances. For example...
2-3 Guilds on each Faction must clear the tier before the countdown starts.
Why?
This ensures that going in to the next tier there is at the very least a healthy competition for the faction/realm firsts. Content rollout speed is definitely an important issue but many seem to be disregarding the importance of competition. If a server is steamrolled by one single guild on each faction, that will actually drain the server of inclined players. Not everyone can join NOPE, not everyone can join Grizzly, a smorgasbord of reasons. Even if they wanted to, these guilds can't accept everyone, and raids are capped at 40 people.
Grizzly players arguing for the hastening of the timeline need to realize that what they're arguing for can actually have a pretty dismal affect on the realm if done improperly. Breakneck progression is great, but what about when you're standing on top of an empty throne with nobody around to respect you? It's like ruling an iron fist over an empty region.
Competition is good for raiding. It pushes other guilds to form, pushes the competing guilds to work harder, and it creates a healthier realm environment for everyone who is interested in raiding, because now a person may have 5 choices instead of 1-2. Not everyone fits in every guild.
