Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

The drop rate on wool cloth, outside of stockades, seems much lower than it was in live at the time. Can anyone else confirm this? I have tried farming in HBF, Duskwood, 1k needles, and all the mobs seem to drop very little wool.

Nah, it was pretty Fucking bad in retail vanilla too from my memory. Stockades was the place to go, or grinding mud 20's humanoids.

I remember wool cloth being the biggest pita to get not just in Vanilla but through several expansions after.

It was always usually 2-3x as much as silk cloth in the auction house (like 80s-1.2g a stack vs. 40s a stack), especially horde side that didn't have the stockades.

That was a combination of wool being hard to get and that sm was so easy to run and get a lot of silk.
