and how godly will melee be?

Mage's will still have their 1.12.1 talent tree, so should be fine.

To be honest, everyone will have pretty crap itemazation, all across the board. Especially the hybrids.
I mean, look at this: WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS
And then: Look how godlike those boots become after the item buffs update (for an Enhancement Shaman at least, these are BiS for a LONG time)

So, trust me, as a caster, you're not the worst off. ^^
I have a feeling that Warriors and Rogues will have the most "decent" itemazation early on, but, really, everyone else is on pretty much the same boat.

Casters will wear felcloth and of frozen wrath, not much of a nerf to spell dmg. However they will have low health/mana and there's absolutely no spell hit gear. Melee aint having an amazing time either, low crit/hit/AP across the board, and you know how weak warriors are with bad gear. Hunters on the other hand are gonna have a field day with lots of agility still and pets not being reliant on gear.

Rogue and Mage will probably be at the top (+hit talents)

Followed by Hunters, Warlocks and Warriors (Imp shadow bolt debuff falling off? no +hit), hunter could be #1 potentially if the pet can dps with at least 20 points in BM (until people get raid gear)

Spriest gets wrecked despite having amazing hit rating, because sw:pain won't be useable and low mana pool. Might do ok with demonic runes, mana pots and distilled wisdom, but still at the bottom.
