Question about game version (Missing quests and stuff)

So I head that the game is currently in an earlier patch of the game, so the searing gorges have like a third of the quest it should have on 1.12 for example.

It's not a rant but here's my question : I'm at the end of Linken's quest in Un'Goro ("It's Dangerous to go Alone"), which normally should give the boomerang trinket as a reward, is it also on a later patch of the game?

Should I wait for the server to be upgraded befor finishing this quest (I really want that boomerang)? If so, when will it happen? I guess if I finish it now I'm screwed... :f

I'm a lvl 47 Horde and I cannot even start the quest you're referring to (my favorite), so how can you have completed it :O!?
