If you are subscribed to the newsletter, you may have noticed a little tidbit at the very bottom...
"Again, thank you so much for your support, continue to speak about us to your friends, continue to subscribe on our medias to speed up the release! (1,000 Facebook's like for Christmas?)"
Right now the Nostalrius FB page has 729 likes. If you want to speed up the release, please make a Facebook account and like the Nostalrius page!

Well, that same newsletter also had a more clairvoyant and obvious announcement earlier in it:

Facebook likes (and newsletter subs for that matter) doesn't seem like a very good way to gauge interest.
Sorry but I don't do facebook likes

I rarely use Facebook but I did like it on mine. I think they're planning this test regardless of how many likes they get, however. If it's just another beta test phase, not a full release, they don't have to hold it back. Letting players play it would just get more followers.
Since I haven't played on Nostalrius, it will be nice to do so to create interface folders and check its performance. I may even be able to start creating macros. This isn't something I do on other servers since I'd have to actually level and obtain spells.

Hey guys, what do you think about this suggestion? Nostalrius owners should contact guys like gnreign (he has a considerably amount of wow vanilla classic players as followers) to make some videos of the incoming beta pvp test. Could be very helpful to increase the starting population when nostalrius release.

Releasing this server during Christmas is a bad idea for one good reason
Kronos plans to release on December 21st
if they release before we do, we're gonna lose alot of players, even if they do suck
we've seen it before on ED, population attracts more population, even if the server sucks
if we are capable of releasing before Kronos, we need to do so at least a week before they plan to, but not if the server isn't completely finished by then

You don't have to race Kronos. They're just as likely to lose people jumping ship to Nostalrius even if they do release first. Quality is what's going to win in the end, along with not running a BS cash shop like Kronos is going to do. Kronos is going to sell max level characters in a store, Nostalrius isn't.

I think that's overly optimistic. There's no reason to think that Kronos is going to be a bad server, and pretty much everyone I know is just waiting for the first one to open up and play there.
Launch date is going to be a serious advantage, and I think it is especially important for Nostalrius since it has a smaller following right now. Nostalrius has the benefit of piggybacking off of the hype that Kronos has built.
