yeah, jokes aside, the item itself is extremely good because weapon skill is basically vanilla's hit rating.

+7 means you never miss vs bosses, which is huge.

What? I thought +skill was for glancing blows and didn't start helping shit like crit and hit til way later?

Gives some hit and crit for hunters, reduces the damage lost from glancing blows for melee. It works differently on just about every private server though so who knows.
