Je Suis Pernille

Hi everyone
Some of you may know my friend and guildmate Pernille. A gnome who tirelessly spends her day in Stormwind buying cloth and crafting all kinds of clothings for The Alliance. This is how he enjoys spending his time and he has made good money (200g+ at lvl 31). BUT ONE DAY he accidently bought some cloth at the price of 85g instead of 85s, and then things got weird.

Pernille pleaded and with the guy who sold the cloth, but to no avail. A week or two later however, the guy felt bad about the whole thing and returned the 85g to Pernille. A happy ending to the story. Except a few days later Pernille was BANNED. Reason: buying gold. This is a week ago now, and the GMs refuse to lift Pernilles ban. They insist that he has bought gold. Whether it's because of his AH-wealth or the 85g transaction we don't know.

Make no mistake - i dont like gold buyers - but this guy didn't buy gold. He has spent more time in the cities than outside, he has every recipe and 350g and guildies and customers who miss him. We only wish for a fair "trial" so we can get pernille back in business. So please GMs and community. Justice for Pernille.

I honestly don't understand how you can be banned being wealthy from good AH transactions. Maybe it's the huge unproportion between his golds and his level, but it's very common than lucky people everyday find a cool item from questing/grinding or dungeon, then increase suddenly an empty wallet for 500+ additional golds.

The only thing I can presume is that he caught back his 80g in game by real money.

It doesnt require a level to make money on AH.

My banker is level 5 and got 100g already. Just by buying and selling a few times every day.

How do you "accidentally" buy something off the AH when its priced at 85g, instead of 85 silver?

I dont think he is being banned from being wealthy at low levels. If that was the case, hundreds more would be banned already.

What might seem suspicious is the sudden influx of 85g pernille got, from the guy who felt sorry for "scamming" him.

There's something fishy here. I think there's more to it that's not being told.

It's not hard. A simple slip or mis-click can do this all the time. On retail, people would sell single arrows for the same price as a entire stack & make a steady income that way - some people have no conscience, I guess.

Hi friends and thanks for the support.
I still haven't heard anything from the admin. Buying a stack of 16 runecloth for 85 g was not my proudest moment as a "professional" trader... But bad things can happen when you go the AH instead of going to bed. I have a screenshot of the in game mail with the purchase which I have sent to the admins along with some other documentation - though it is a bit hard to know what to document here, since I haven't been told any specifics of the reason behind the ban.

To those interested in the story: I added the seller as friend and wrote to him a number of times without any response. Then one day I see him in IF and start whispering and poking him a few times. He opens a trade and gives me 60 g. After that we chat a bit and he says how the AH listing was a mistake, but he had originally kept the money anyway as he was working towards getting his epic mount at the time. Now he was more wealthy and felt bad for having been greedy earlier on. He then traded me the remaining 20 g (-5 g for the AH cut) and that was that. He also mentioned that he had discussed the dilemma in his guild chat, I believe he was in Massivus Backhandeth at the time.

I'm not sure whether those 60 g+20 g is what set the anti cheating system on red alert, but if it was, then he actually did me a major disservice by deciding to be a nice guy in the end.

To be honest the story sounds fishy and if it's real you fucked up on more than one occasion, but that last part is in no way your fault, what's next people giving streamers and known people on the server gold to get them banned for buying gold? If that was really the case It's really stupid and should be looked into thoroughly from now on for each case as it can easily be abused.

I would probably think It's bullshit if it wasn't you, but i've seen your ads on trade all the time and everytime i see it the list gets longer so I'd say your story is legit because with the resources and recipes you have and the time and effort you put into your professions you wouldn't do such a shitty thing as buying like what 80g? Like come on this guy works hard for his money i see him supplying items for all levels and classes on AH.

Give this guy's case at least another look please, he's one of the most important low level members of the community, he keeps a steady supply on a lot of useful tailoring crafted items for lower levels that others don't bother with because it's not worth the effort at higher levels.

You have my support man.
