Is Unarmed Skill Important?

I will try and put this blunt since explaining about it will get lost.

I'm a level 20 Warrior.
I'm using a two-handed sword .
My Two-handed sword skill is cap at lvl 80
My Unarmed skill is at lvl 52

So do I need to increase my Unarmed skill to have a better chance at hitting the mobs, or is what I'm thinking just something unrealistically not true?

As far I remember, you need unarmed skill only when disarmed, so it is very situational, however, when you reach level 60, skill it up level 300, situational... but could still help.

Prior to 60, just being disarmed naturally will level it decently.

Only for disarms and wielding fist weapons would it be beneficial. IIRC there isn't any decent fist weapon a 50+ blue regular weapon can't beat.
