Anyone know where macros/keybinds are saved in the Nost WoW directory? Has it changed? I know it's usually in the WTF folder etc, but w/e I look into it or WDB, they're always empty. What do/where are they!
Trying to port/move them from one machine to the other.

It should be in there.... an exception is some windows permissions will mess with it. I don't have the slightest clue where windows saves it instead though. I only had this problem when I ran as administrator on windows 10.

I don't know in 1.12.1 or not. But if they are, there should be a local copy still.

You have 2 type of files that you have to search and copypaste:
General Macros = "macros-cache.ini" in WTF\Account\[YourNameAccount]
Specific Character Macros = "macros-cache.ini" in WTF\Account\[YourNameAccount]\Nostalrius Begins\[Your PG Name]
P.S: from my understanding "macro-local.ini" should have some sort of temporary pre-saving of the macro you have saved in-game, then move that on the "macros-cache.ini", but I could easily be wrong as hell

Like I said, WTF folder is completely empty, on either of my machines. Not listing account or anything within it, although on my laptop, I do have macros/keybinds on my chars, wheras my desktop of the game does not.
0 bytes, 0 files, 0 folders, listed in both machines directory of WTF. But the laptop does have it's keybindings and macros saved. Somewhere. And work in game.

Hey Xylon666Darkstar,
You may search your drive for the files listed above. If you installed into Program Files (x86) then your working WTF folder is here:
- Code: Select all
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft Classic
A workaround for this would be to install to a location such as C:\WoW then your working WTF folder will be in C:\WoW\WTF and easier to access.

Snow240,
Using Windows 8, having no luck finding this on the laptop, even in searching the drives themselves, no line or path exists. >:I

If you're running a 64 bit version of Windows and installed using the Nostalrius Installer into the default location then you may paste that link into the address bar of a folder window (File Explorer) then press the Enter key or press (Windows-key) + R then paste that link and click Ok.
You may also open a folder window (File Explorer). Click on the drive that you installed WoW into and then on the top-right search field, enter your account name. This will find the folder you're looking for.

Holy fuck that found it. Thank you, Snow. Know the workaround, if any, to actually get it to save/update from the WTF folder hereafter in game?
