Limit FPS

Hello,

Im trying to limit my FPS. Running WOW at 300+ fps is ridic and not really ideal for the GPU.
I've tried to edit the config.wtf-file with the command:

SET maxFPS "120"

This isnt working. I could turn on vsync and run at 60 fps, but that dosent really feel good.
I would like to run at like 120-150ish.

So do any of you guys have any idea how to make it work?

Ty.

In the graphics settings there's a checkbox called "vertical sync" make sure that's checked, then your fps will be limited to the value you have set under "refresh." I've got mine set to 85hz

The maxfps cvar wasn't introduced until some time after 1.12, so vsync might be your only option unfortunately.

Is there a reason you don't want to use Vsync? I'm Vsynced at 120fps because I can't find a way to force 144hz or higher in this client version, I'd never use Vsync in the FPS games I play but I honestly don't feel any input lag from it in WoW

I don't mind vsyncing WoW. I noticed that I had to cap it at 120hz too, and its kinda working.
Sometimes (alot of the time) when I tab out to do something and then tab in its seems to bug. The fps start to lock at 64, then at like 70 etc etc.

Whenever its working as its supposed to iI have stable 120fps and thats fine. Its there some bug that causes this problem?

Ok, so I figured it out. It's def a bug. Whenever I have teamspeak running it works. Rock solid 120 fps all the way. Whenever I close it TS, its locks at 64 fps. Kinda neat bug imo.

I installed battle.net and leave it minimized to the system tray and it maxes my frames. So I guess either team speak or battle.net will work.
