Questions about Nostalrius

Hello. I've got few questions.

1. Will ALL the quests, I mean 100%, work correctly?
2. World Update will be 400ms like on Blizzard or lower?
3. What will be the online cap?
4. What about donation system, what players can buy? And voting?
5. Is ID system completely rewritten by you? Because stock ID systems provided by emulators are a bughole.
6. Will you introduce WoWHead-esque vanilla database?
7. The realm type will be PvP, Normal, RPPvE or RP?

I think it's all for the moment.

@2: Lower, but with some compensation afaik.
@4: There is none.
@6: I think we should skip on the wowhead-type database. It isn't appropriate for vanilla.
@7: RPPVP I think. I'm actually curious about this too. Will RP name rules be in effect?

1. Probably not on launch (nobody knows though)
2. No one knows (and why should it matter)
3. No one knows (but the server can handle a ton of players, since each map has its own server (like Blizzard does it))
4. Nothing and no voting that I'm aware of
5. Care to elaborate?
6. There is a thread going on about that in the "Suggestion" section, but so far no "official" has taken a stand on it
7. PvP with a few RP player from what it looks like

1. 100% is hard to say, but I think that 95% of the quest should work, only the one with really really hard script like maybe "In dreams" could be broken, even tough I don't even know because I didn't try that one out yet. Don't worry about It, should be good. severals beta have been made.
2. There will be a world latency to reproduce like double sap, you know retail latency that allows some plays.
3. dunno
4. NO shop NO Vote reward.
5. Should be fixed.
6. I don't think so, there are enough database out there, but noone for pre 1.4 items, you'll have to figure out what you need. You can still use this old website : http://web.archive.org/web/200501150429 ... index.html
7. PvP

HAHA, are you serious? "why should it matter"

It's how it was and if the server wishes to be blizzlike they will want to fix this eventually. I played the tests and can say that they have not made any changes to it and seemed very much to be stock mangos except for a hardcoded delay on various spells such as polymorph, fear, some stuns etc.

C'mon Nostalrius, you can do better.

On retail they just lowered the cycles to 10ms, making it nearly impossible to hit people at the same time. I like Nostalrius' system more, but I think maybe a 50ms cycle or something would be better than hardcoded delay if you're correct.

400ms cycles are kind of unfun.

Well, all quests should work correctly for 5 years of development - especially on vanilla :P

Oh, and where can I find bugtracker?

I agree.
