Dark nights allowed?

Hi, making this post refering to viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3:

"Blizzard Warden has been implemented (yes, it's the retail anti-cheat system), with the checks against the latest known cheats. The main thing is that this system can theoretically detect any cheat (from MPQ/DBC modifications, to packets modification, including memory modification and proc detour ...)."

The "addon" file in question: http://modcraft.superparanoid.de/viewto ... =59&t=7488

This patch is just classic MPQ archive with only one modified file - LightIntBand.dbc - which controls lighting in the world, together with Light.dbc. This patch was originally made for Cataclysm, but it's working also on older versions, including vanilla.

This is an addon which basicly makes everything in the game -alot- darker when it's night time, and an addon which I'd love to level with (immersion level extreme  ). So my obvious question in regards to the anti-cheat, is this kind of addon allowed on Nostalrius with the current anti cheat iteration? Pretty much rather be safe than sorry.

Regards
Soyoen

The thread you linked shows this being used in a later version of the game. Is this fully 1.12.1 compatible?

Wait... wait what are the exactly the differences from vanilla and current (WoD version)

Am I missing something here?

If you're talking about the Day/Night cycle, WoD made nights a lot darker than before. Not to the point like it was in Alpha where you needed items with a light source (Torches, certain weapons or pets) to see, but still more than just "It's slightly darker than daytime."

Personally http://media.mmo-champion.com/images/ne ... ights2.jpg is how I wish we could get Vanilla looking D:

The problems I've had it on ED is when wheather effects occur, as those override the effect and you gain the normal night effect. Other than that it has worked great for me and other players in my guild.

I just tested it on another private server it is working great. Though it is a server that doesn't use Warden so I am not sure how that will affect things.
