Juste created an account on Nostalrius and logged into the game : not really enjoyable
Is there a way to reduce the latency due to the distance ?
I have like 50 ms latency overall, but on Nostalrius, it feels more like 200-300 ms

server has delay each time when population above 6 000 players
game is awesome during US times and morning-day for Europe, but during EU primetime and weekends its disaster, especially if u aimed to pvp, and ur ping (ms) does not matter

If you connect to Nostalrius from France, you'll usually have like 5-20 ms, sometimes around 50, rarely anything more.

You can, however experience a small "delay" that has nothing to do with your connection or your computer, which makes you feel like you have 200-300 ms. This happens when the server is a bit overloaded, usually where there are 6-7k+ people online at the same time.

There isn't anything you can do about it. This problem used to happen after like 4-5k players online, and the donations helped the staff upgrade the server hardware and improve performance.

Hopefully they'll keep geting donations and will be able to do it again

Oh okay, thought it was because of the distance. Didn't realize it was peek hours (freaking saturday, messing with my internal clock and shit haha).
Okay then, let's hope things get better then !

The server is actually hosted in France
We had some delay, but this issue is being investigated with a high priority at the moment.
An update has already been applied, and you should no longer experience this delay in battlegrounds or instances. Additionally, this delay has also been reduced on continents.
