GM muting people for chatting in The Barrens

Yeah so a GM goes out of his way to monitor a chat that should NEVER have restrictions and chat mutes people without warning... if it wasnt for Barrens chat 90% of people would go insane trying to level. Its so %@$@ dull when everyone gets muted for even just typing one line.

Perhaps if the handful of players who delight in writing racist, sexist, homophobic, antisemitic and other offensive crap in the General chat would realize that the chat is not their personal mud pit, no GM would have to step in. Or the Thunderfury link spam or the endless conspiracy theories. There are other websites available where everything goes.

i agree with Pottu, it's fucking ridiculous. Blackmetal and his goons have made my black friend completely leave the channel because everytime he's in there it's hitler worship. Fucking children need to learn how to behave.

Barrens chat is working as intended. IMHO GMs shouldn't step in unless there's obsessive harassment of specific individuals, or specific complaints. I have a feeling the people who got muted went "above and beyond" but idk the actual details, that would be usefull to know OP.

If there was someone being targeted and harassed , I can completely understand... but what I typed was, I like to tuck between my legs and look at my mangina in the mirror, then i said ooops MT. Was muted for 30 minutes and received a quip from the GM saying, dont "spam" the chat with copy/paste from 4chan.

Ive heard much worse in that chat daily, and no one decides to step in until now, and when they do they just throw out chat mutes ? If someone is being specifically harrassed dont you think we should focus on that and punish those individuals? Not just random people on a random day?
