Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Hello. I recently started playing on 1.12.1 servers, and I have noticed that the render distance is quite limited. Does anyone know any addons that work for 1.12.1 or any console commands or something to increase the render distance? I have seen other people do this but they didn't specify how, I'm guessing that they used WoW Machinima Tool or something of the like. Thanks!

It's server side. It's less taxing on a server to limit the amount of info it has to send to you. With 8000 people at peak times, that can be quite strenuous on the server.

It depends if he speaks of the mob/players/NPC view distance or the terrain/landscape view distance.
The first is server side (so everyone see the enemies at the same distance), the second is purely client side.

I think pushing the setting further than the maximum (777, it was increased from 777 to 1277 in WotLK and furthermore in CT) requires modifying the client. It's not allowed, and even if it was, I don't know if it's possible (but it probably is as Machinima Tool succeed in later versions).

Thanks for your reply Keldan, I forgot that the maximum was 777 and had it set on 7777 and my game starting acting weird and I didn't really know how what the maximum was, so thanks for that comment there
