How do AH listing work here or are they bugged?

I am curious how the AH listings are made, I always thought it was lowest at the bottom but a lot of the time on Nost you could have a 1c bid 2c buyout and still be in the middle of page two?
I find myself listing one item at multiple prices some decently outrageous and they all get listed in different places and often probably by chance the rip off deals are in more prominent places and selling.

AH listings are like retail (unless you have an addon).
Prices can be sorted by buy-out price in ascending or descending order. You cannot sort by bid price.
What is your issue?

Another thread complaining something is "broken". It isn't broken, it is Vanilla.
The Auction House was changed several times after 2006 to make it easier to use. However that does not apply here.

It is currently not sorting buy out price lowest to highest if you have it sorted that way. For example a 1c bid 2g buyout item will show at the bottom of page one (I am not positive but I think only most of the time) but another item with 23s bid 1g buyout is in the middle of page 2 despite 23s not being in the middle of aforementioned bids.
I could insult you then rattle of some facts about beta or even alpha but I have no reason to spread hate and be so arrogant we are a community mate lets start acting like it even if I was not an extremely knowledge individual and instead a noob show some kindness, I simply ask you provide some detailed links for these exact changes that I presume you are imaging in your head and do not relate to this problem in the slightest.
Now granted there was some minor fixes past 1.12.1 over the years but Nost does not run a strict "1.12.1" they fix things, So I have come here to find out if it is indeed a bug or my stupidity before submitting formal reports, but it sadly looks like it may be broken.

http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/2489079536Someone on the Blizzard forum had to disable their auction addon and was horrified to find it doesn't sort by buy out price. This was made in 2011, supposedly it was changed in Cataclysm.

You can only sort by Bid price, not Buyout price unless you have an addon

It is working as intended for some items while others are indeed bugged, these screenshots are taken with a fresh client and no addons.

It is an unruly critter isn't it? I noticed earlier that some items that appeared in subcategories by item level did not appear in their general categories by item level (gear). Also noted items in general search by name did not appear in their category at all, for example: robe is not in cloth chestpiece.
I don't know if that is the way it was or not, but it sucks.
