My question is simple. Will there be an option to get back your character that got deleted (for whatever reason, accident or if your account get hacked). I don't know if it was possible on retail back then, now it's possible on retail and some private servers. That also asks a question how often will backups happen. Thanks.

1. Send u gold to another one character.
2. Delete character.
3. Create thread here: WTF GOT HAXED BY HAXERS!!!1 GHET BAK MY HERO AND GOLDZZ!!!1
4. Get u hero back.
5. Get gold x2.
6. Profit.
I hope the administration will check such incidents.
p/s: remember strong pass is 99% guarantee of u security.

That's why I added a second question. If you backup character right before deletion you won't get x2 gold. Worst thing that could happen in case of hacked account is naked character with no gold/items but level and skills remains. Still better than nothing. I'd like answer from one of the developers how will be this issue treated.

Player is fully responsible of his own account access:
* Password shall be enough complicated,
* Don't give your password to anybody,
* Connect yourself in the game from a safe place,
* Don't delete your character "for fun".

If he sends his gold away he'll have 0 gold, and won't get any more when his character is restored...

Blizzard used to restore deleted characters, including gold, items, specs, etc. Obviously the GM's should never be giving gold to anyone - only what was already on the character when it was deleted.
