Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Hello! In the game, the NPC Donova Snowden offers the her chain quest, which was added in a later patch then the one the game is currently emulating. The fact that you can get the quest isn't the issue, but finishing the questline doesn't offer the right items, this is probably because you run a different loot table. Will I get the reward for finishing the questline once the right patch hit or if I finish the quest, have no way to gain the quest item?
