well..so far ive traded about 15 lockboxes to rogues and each one of them has contained crap..maybe its my usual crappy luck but on retail I have 2 rogues(1 on each side) and I recall getting good sht out of them every 5th or 4th lockbox. Not the case here. I know ive been ''lied to'' at least once because I traded a Thorium lockbox but the rogue gave me a level 27 item (thorium lockbox has an ilvl of like 55 meaning it can drop lvl 57-58 items but how can you prove it?)
also no rogues want to party with me they all decline invitations...I don't want to level a rogue nor do I want to pickup 300 blacksmithing to just open those blasted things but they're piling up(10 of them) and taking up all my bank space

I can open them for you on horde side, if not.. don't you have guildies who can group with you?

Until they fix the ability to open lockboxes through the "will not be traded" window (yes, it DID work that way in Vanilla), the only surefire way to make sure you get everything from a lockbox is to level a rogue yourself.

Yeah, it should be openable in that window but I've never seen a private server which had that working

Aye, neither have I. So unless they fix it, you'd best level a rogue of your own and mail him the lockboxes if you want to make sure you get all the loot.

Buy skeleton keys from a blacksmith. Fuck rogues.

Solution is simple. Invite rogue to group and youll see items he looted from box.

As you said yourself, being in group with the rogue is the only way to know for sure. And any "decent" rogue out there, who know the rules, will know that that's how you do/did it, before the "Will not be traded" screen was working for lockpicking.

Vanilla is not WoD, and MaNGOS drop rates on lockboxes are likely different from retail vanilla.

I am available to open boxes on alliance side whenever I'm online.
I already have every boe/enchant/epic mount anything I would need gold for so I don't need to scam 2g greens off randoms.
