What classes are needed on server?

by creekside » Wed Jun 17, 2015 9:03 am

I'm stuck between making a Mage and a Priest. I played both in vanilla - wotlk and was wondering which class is more in need on the server. for both PvE and PvP. Also ill be lvling with a friend and we're both wondering which faction is overpopulated. we dont care horde or alliance. just want to be on the underdogs side.

thanks!

This may seem like common sense but it's worth saying: Any player who knows how to play correctly and is prepared for raids will find a spot in groups regardless of class.

With that said, I looked up what alliance guilds needed before rolling and found Holy Paladins were mentioned often. I haven't made it to 60 yet but so far I haven't had any issues finding groups.

I don't know about Horde needs but you can take a look at the guild recruitment forum for your chosen faction and see what pops up most often.

i would say, like on retail, that tanks and healers are always needed

so maybe the priest would be a good option

i started on Nost with a hunter, and im leveling a warrior at the moment due to the lack of tanks

I've been Holy since 60, and it is absolutely impossible to find a dungeon group as a healer. Shouldn't be so bad for raids tho.

For Dungeons Alliance side, we mostly need Tanks and Mages/Warlocks. I would recommend that if you are a Paladin or Warrior to spec tank once you hit 60 and just collect your Healer/DPS gear as a tank. Just make sure that you make it clear that you will be rolling on healer gear to your healer, or DPS gear to your Rogues/Warriors/Rets. Then switch to your MS once you are ready for MC.

This is disconcerting. I may take your advice and tank until I have my BiS gear. Thanks for the heads up.

Its always Druids and Warlocks that are missing.

Well, my guild needs mages and warlocks most of all, so...

Warlock and Druids (is warlock so weak in vanilla?) are the most needed following the census.

I've actually found that healers are really keen players and do their best to try and farm bis, they form the groups and often tank is the most needed class.

A warrior who can tank for pug grps of dungeons he doesn't need is basically top demand,

I think there should be a new standard of tank alts that tank 5 mans for like 10g and 2 Large Brilliant Shards.

It is funny because lore wise, both of those classes are quite rare.
