Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Seen it Done before, connecting a controller to your pc, then play wow with it. (Console controller)

As many of you ive been playing wow for many years, played most classes so now i want to try something new

I would like what class you would recommend for the limited keybinds you will have, and maybe what binds. (Using L2 as "next target" aka normal tab)

Oh my phone and don't feel like looking through his videos, but one of them explains how to use a controller to play WoW. Again Kephas has an acceptable reason, otherwise a controller is objectively inferior to a keyboard+mouse in terms of reaction and amount of commands you can do. To use a controller is to accept you are purposely making yourself a worse player.

I'd like to try that sometime. Sure, you're gimping yourself, but it's a different experience.

It is possible but you will be limited on what you can do / abilities

but for just farming / grinding i think it would be fine.

Try looking into xpadder or something similar

I didn't feel like grinding my alchemy so in order to make it a bit more casual and relaxed I used xpadder to configure my Xbox One controller for the basics like attacking, targeting, clicking, walking and jumping. I made sure to assign NumLock somewhere (auto-walk) and configured the right thumbstick for mouse movement. After tweaking the controls a bit (with xpadder) I was able to grind my alchemy perfectly while using a controller.

You just can't enter contested territory while using a controller and expect to win a fight.

I intend to use xbox gamepad as well, so im looking for hints about targetting and looting. any ideas?

Its fully possible. But you might want addons like circlestrife, mouselock, crosshair and supercast.
If you prepare good enough, you might even play better than those with mouse and keyboards,
considered the amount of clickers and people with bad keybindings.
