Just how vanilla is Nostalrius?

Hi, new player here, been playing a couple days now and what I've seen so far is incredibly impressive!
Anyway, I'm curious if anything on the server is different from the original vanilla we all loved. Has there been "tweaking" to possibly improve the game where it was lacking?
Example: I remember Pally's being weak. I also recall tanks other than Warriors rarely placed in the roll of MT since they didn't have the same mitigation. In vanilla, I also remember hybrids had slightly less DPS than the classes that were dedicated to DPS (druid cat vs. rogue, etc).
If this information is written somewhere that I should have easily found, I apologize.

If you can heal you need to heal, warriors are the only real tanks, and hybrid dps sucks. No tweaking has or will be done to classes.

The goal of this server is to be 100% blizzlike
I would say we are about 98%.
the 2% being some wild policies they had to introduce to cater to the 10k active population we have.

well, some things are hard to re-enact. e.g. the class talents here are all 1.12.1 already., because this is client-sided afaik. and talents changed a lot for some classes during vanilla. so are some other things intruduced later are already in - sticking to the timeline (vanilla lasted 2 years) is pretty extensive. another major thing thats far from vanilla retail is the x3 population we're having here incl its various effects.
and well, several/many bugs, which are not intended.
but its possibly the private server closest to vanilla retail ever.

There are some non-Blizzlike changes like the respawn timers on the STV elites for the Hemet quest chain being 5 minutes instead of 30, but that was necessary because of the stupid bottleneck it created. Also, safespotting is banned, and so is camping a low level quest hub for hours and hours on end.
Item/patch progression is a tad screwed up. For example, we're on the 1.3.2 server, yet we have WSG and the honour system. We also have AB, which shouldn't be out until I think 1.8 (post-ZG). Another oddity is we're using the 1.3 item stats, and loot tables, except the way tiers 1 and 2 are distributed. Back in the 1.3 days, you could collect some of T1 and T2 from the MC bosses, but not the whole sets. This was changed when BWL came out in 1.6, where 8/8 T1 was from the first 8 bosses + trash in MC, and 6/8 T2 was from BWL.

tl;dr it's not blizzlike at all and a hodgepodge of horse shit

It's somewhat vanilla in that we keep some retarded parts of the game like 1.3 itemization but leave out other retarded parts of the game like paladins not being able to cast greater blessings until AQ40.

So you'd rather the progression of the server was 100% Blizzlike including talents and BGs?

Even if by some miracle we found the original source code for each and every patch of classic WoW, no one would want it to be 100% blizzlike including talents and BGs. There was just too many things that were shit about classic wow that weren't fixed/implemented for months.
Deathcoil not having a horrify effect
WoTF lasting like 20 or 30 seconds
Pummel not being a warrior ability at release
paladin blessings limited to 5 minutes and single target
resistances being able to go negative (hello 4800 damage conflags)..
the list goes on.

I think it would be awesome, 90% just for the nostalgic value. It would be cool to see the game go through the same progression it did the first time around. I'm always holding out hope that when WoW loses enough popularity they will reboot it on the exact same timeline. Far-fetched but i can dream
