Maybe I'm wrong (I stopped playing WoW at early TBC) but as I recall flight path (from Thunder Bluff to Orgrimmar in this case) went straightforward, not through Camp Taurajo and Crossroads. It's of cource a minor issue if I'm correct but it bugs me every time i use that path.
Did someone else noticed that?

I don't remember exactly but the way it is now is more vanilla's style.

If you think that's bad, I believe it was Hammerfall or Light's Hope Chapel to UC that needed to go through Ravantusk Village to fly to UC. Wouldn't fly again.

As I understand it (based on other emu cores) the flight paths are actually stored in the DBC files from the client. So, they're correct.
What every server doesn't seem to get right is the multiple hops (where you fly over and not through intermediary points). Not sure how it was in Vanilla, but in BC and onward it didn't do this for sure.

It did have the mid-flight nodes in Vanilla, but this is probably a more complex issue since the server and client have to agree on how long flight paths take. Getting something like this to work would
likely need a client-side patch and burn a lot of dev time.

Ah well, I see the same issue on later expac p-servers, and I know by BC at least it was smoothed out that you didn't actually "land" in between spots for sure. I literally played for a couple of days before the BC release on retail, so I can't make a valid comment on retail vanilla.

you didnt land in vanilla either, you just flew pretty close to the flight point most of the time.
