Rolling alliance and horde

I'm very curious

Was there any explanation provided when they allowed you to roll both factions on the single pvp server?

I really loved way back when during retail vanilla when you knew your allies, were your allies, and not an alt of some horde. it creates a true us vs them mentality which is exactly what a pvp server should be about.

Truthfully, I hate the horde on nostalrius so much. They're quite honestly the biggest bitches in pvp I've ever encountered. it sickens me to think they could have a main or alt on alliance side. There's a few rotten apples on alliance that will /emote and run away instead of fighting a 1v1 same level horde whom engaged them but very few.

Just a curious dude wondering about the thought behind the decision to allow both factions on one account.

As I post this I feel dumb, I suppose if they lett the rules intact as only one faction per account, those who see things differently than me would simply have 2 accounts.

I think it's pretty much that. The limitation made sense on retail. Not to say I didn't know people that had multiple accounts specifically for this purpose. Here, you can simply make a second account.

I agree that is limited the ability for the other faction to spy, and also gave a general feeling of belonging to a faction (on PvP realms at least). I don't see how you could get that same feeling here though.

In the end, it's just a game.
