didn't play pvp on live, is there a ruleset?

by essedge » Thu Jul 16, 2015 12:28 am

google and forum search doesn't seem to come up with any answers, nor does the FAQ. Just wondering if there are rules to the open world pvp?

coming from an EQemu where they use classic pvp rules like:

coin/item loot
can only attack players +/- X number of levels from you
corpse camping penalties, etc..

sorry if this has been asked over and over again but again search isn't helping. Thanks!

You're asking about how to pvp ethically. Honestly thats a personal thing. For all practical purposes a pvp server is a jungle. You can do what you want.

Was more asking about actual rules, like on another emu I play (everquest though) you literally are unable to attack someone out of your level range.

Wasn't sure if WoW pvp had similar stuff, played on a carebear realm on live.

Emu?

To answer your question there are no "established" rules. Basic things like hacking and exploiting are obviously not allowed, but if you plan to camp a questing hub for 8 hours a day for two weeks, expect to get a message from a game master/moderator telling you to stop.

You can attack a player of any level if they're in a PvP zone/flagged for PvP
