Play with "infinite" mousewheel

Hi !
I just have a quick question : is it allowed to play with an "infinite" mousewheel ?
I just bought a mouse with this feature, and I was kinda excited to bind my spells in WoW on the wheel. But then I realized that it may be perceived as "cheating".
I remember something in the terms of use of WoW saying that every action has to be performed by the player, which isn't exactly the case here. More over, I felt like this number of actions could only add to the existing lag.

So please, enlighten me <3
PS : sorry for bad english :p

Like you have on this mouse : http://www.logitech.com/assets/24710/24710.png
You have a button to switch between normal wheel or infinite wheel. When on infinite mode, your wheel goes on and on (it has a lot of inertia).

i guess this infinite mwheel "spams" the mousewheel super fast, endlessly, once used. there are also mice that have 3-shot-buttons, which perform the left or right mouseclick super fast 3 times in a row to fire weapons that have no delay super fast (e.g.).

such things are always critical for server admins/GMs/DEVs, cause they are hard to detect and most ppl do think its just a feature, thus super legal. especially since a lot of keyboards and mice have scriptable buttons, so you can make your "infinite" keys on your own or automatize other things.

even some addons like decursive, healbot etc were categorized as cheats by many players back in time, because they're automatising a lot, thus a player has much less to do than he usually would have to. but in the end, they were accepted to be legal. probably because blizz just couldnt stop it at this time and did not want to cut off "legal" addon too.

so sometimes the edge between legal (massivly helping addons) and not legal (slightly helping mouse or keyboard scripts) is really thin and kinda confusing.

i wonder what the devs will answer you here.

i rather thought it would be more like an "lock-on" than actually turning forever

Thanks. So it's a Hardware Cheat?
Actually I think it does not bring a huge adventage.

As long as you are doing the input, this isn't a script or macro. I can't possible see how this is cheating or botting, it isn't truly infinite, you have to keep doing inputs (scrolling the wheel), so this is in no way an automated process.

The infinite mousewheel isn't really prone to abuse due to the game's GCD factor on nearly all spells. It is still entirely possible that it's illegal though.
