Pets of mobs are bugged??

I have noticed that pets of mobs are very glitchy.

For example, the Silithid mobs in southern Tanaris that spawn the little beetle things with them: the little beetle things chase you forever and despawn. During this time you are perpetually placed in combat and sometimes it doesn't go away for 5-10 minutes even if the server is stable.

This makes leveling difficult because you consequently cannot regenerate health, you cannot log out or exit game to fix it because... you are in combat. And you cannot mount up to try to escape the situation. Obviously alt+F4ing works.

This server is awesome and it's a lot of fun. I just think this glitch deserves fixing. Was that glitch in retail vanilla?Any body else notice this?

Yep, ill never forget the quest in barrens where you had to get some eggs off of silithid mobs, and they spawned adds with them. Those adds never reset or dissapesred so you were screwed, and forced to die. Took me forever to complete that quest
