Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Why am I getting this error from some quests? It's not that someone is sharing it with me, I actually get the quest window pop-up, click Accept, and get the error message.

First happened with the Glowing Shadowhide Pendant, and now it's happening again with Sven's Camp (follow-up to the quest where you click the mound of dirt behind the farmstead in duskwood).

I'm being offered the quest, but when I click Accept, it tells me that I don't meet the requirements. Wtf is going on?

It happened to me once in Hammerfall. It was rather disappointing to get the quest prompt and then get told you can't do it yet, but oh well.

Need some more information. What's your level, race, and do you have any addons that conflict with quests? Like a quest auto-completer or quest auto-accept addon.

The only quest related addon I have is ShanguQuest, which doesn't do anything you mentioned.

Tried both picking up the quest and having someone share it? Did you meet the level requirement on the quests?

If I remember correctly (this was quite some days ago) I completed a quest with that NPC and it prompted me for another quest, after clicking Accept it told me I didn't meet the requirements for it and the NPC then had a grey exclamation mark over it, showing I was too low to take it. But then again I don't get why it showed up in the first place.

This has happened to me several times it's a little odd, I assume it's the same thing he is experiencing. You drop off one quest and the quest prompt automatically comes up for the next quest in that line. However, you are 1-2 levels too low for it so when you try to accept it, you get an error.

I think this is a minor bug, basically the quest shouldn't be automatically popping open in the first place if your level is too low.

Yeah, the prompt was automatic. In the end, not that big of an issue really.

Probably a broken hook on the quest. What I can only assume is that the quest has a requirement in the DB, but there's no hook that shows "You don't meet the level requirement for this quest." when you try to accept it, when you click on the "!" in the gossip menu, etc.

No quest accept or complete addons.

Looking over the questline in a TBC Wowhead database, it appears that the quest requires level 21, when I was level 20. The strange thing being that EVERY OTHER QUEST in the entire questline requires level 20, but the quest you get from the dirt mound requires level 21.

Wtf blizz.

Even the final quest in the chain to kill Morbent Fel, a level 32 elite, requires level 20. But the 2nd quest requires level 21. Wat.
