Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

If you are a streamer/currently streaming Nostalrius you might want to think about it again, I just got a 24hr suspension/DMCA.

Dear Twitch Broadcaster:

The content you streamed and archived on Twitch at www.twitch.tv/indianola was the subject of a takedown notice we received from Blizzard Entertainment pursuant to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"). This organization has asserted that it owns this content and that you streamed that content on Twitch without permission to do so. As a result we have cleared the offending archives, highlights, and episodes from your account and given you a 24 hour restriction from broadcasting.

Kind of sucks, been streaming it for around 2 weeks now with no issues until today.

Didn't something like this already happen with another game company and the end result was that Twitch allowed streaming of it anyway? AFAIK there is no game prohibited from being streamed on Twitch at all.

Streaming is cancer anyways, though, so whatever.

Well from what it looks like they merged all the WoW channels into one, might be time for hitbox if you want to stream Nostalrius.

Blizzard Activision just running scared that old WoW becomes more popular.. won't support retail no more game sucks.

why are you so surpised? they have been doing this since nostalrius is out. that like going to the shower and being suprised you are going to be wet from it

They did a mass temp-ban like this 3-4 months ago. Merging all categories is new though so let's see how this develops. I want my Kappas with a side of Nost.

Nah, they haven't been doing it since it came out.

They sent a few DMCAs to partnered twitch streamers but never people like me, I only had 2k followers and I got a DMCA, non partnered as well.

Like I mentioned earlier, they merged all the WoW channels into one so if you stream nost in the mega channel now you're going to get a nice 24 hour suspension like I did.

The different WoW channels on Twitch are also gone. Now there is only one channel for WoW.

I suggest we find some game that NOBODY plays and host all Nostalrius streams there

they have been doing it before tho. i started pretty short after this server came out. and when i was a lowbie in goldshire i already heard about this. so it really isnt anything new. it all happened before
