The Nostalgic feels are back!

I have to admit. I never thought I would get the "feeling" of vanilla back again but once I got in. I made a warrior dwarf, met two guys and grouped together for around three hours, had a few laughs and leveled until around 8. Was really astonished by the amount of stability and how overall the people here are more cooperative and friendlier because vanilla REQUIRES you to be friendly if you want to survive in this harsh world. Whereas in new wow you could pretty much be dependent on your own.

Yep, the large population really makes this server feel blizzlike. Actually being able to just say "LFG (quest)" and actually group up with people to do quests. Not even just elite quests, but any quest really.

And doing dungeons while leveling is also possible; very fun for me, as doing leveling dungeons was a big part of my new-to-retail experience back in BC.

I just joined yesterday and had a similar experience. I made it all the way to WoD's release before I just couldn't do it anymore but the urge to play was still coming back from time to time. Legion's announcement finally made me decide I really wanted to play again, just not on retail.

So I joined yesterday, made it up to level 10 with my new rogue, joined a few different groups along the way to quest, died several times because of all the bad habits I've picked up from playing retail in recent years (I'd forgotten what it's like to actually pay attention to mob positioning!) and then someone summoned an infernal in the Kharanos inn so I sat there watching the skellies pile up for nearly an hour.

I think I saw more people out in the world in a few hours yesterday than I did the entire 1-90 run of the last retail character I leveled.

It's all about the population, seeing people running around, and the social aspect. <3
