Mux, a gnome mage offered to craft Lionheart Helm for me. When I traded him the mats he told me something about it not being enough Arcanite Bars, even though I gave him 12, then he logged off.

Is there anything do be done when it comes to getting the items back or is it a lost cause?

always get your stuff made by guildies or by those vetted by the trusted crafters forum page. The gm's will not reimburse you- the best you can hope is that the player is blacklisted from now on.
