Your personal perfect raidsetup

by justclassic » Sun Aug 16, 2015 8:51 am

Hey ,

I know that it is an unlikely thing to happen. But if you could create your own perfect raidsetup how would it look like ?

I think I would run 3 warrior tanks as that should be enough to kill most bosses (not 4ponyboss but most).

I'd bring 7 healer consisting of 1 druid, 1 priest and 5 paladins . (to get all buffs covered and because I personally think paladins are the best healers also they can buff tank groups with devo + resi aura)

I'd bring 3 meele groups each consisting of 1 marksmanship hunter for trueshot aura , 1 fury warrior for battleshout and 3 rogues. (I think meeles are atm capable of the highest dps if they have enough uptime)

Last but not least I'd bring 15 casters evened out between mages and warlocks.

How would your setup would look like ? What about a horde view maybe :D

1) Have at least 1 of each class or however many to get max buffs
2) Fill in rest with whatever classes are top dps and hps.
3) ???
4) Profit

7 healers sounds like fun. Who needs priests anyway? Dispell is way too overrated.

7 healers? alright then

15 casters? at current gear level there is no reason to bring over 3 warlocks to the raid, so that'd make it 12 mages

dunno bout that mate

For horde the optimal post-naxx-gear raid setup is something stupid like 4 resto shamans, 2 holy priests, 1 resto druid, 1 shadow priest, 1 mage, 15 warlocks, 16 warriors.

I might be missing a de/buff or two but dps optimization gets really ridiculous after a certain point because of how hard warriors and warlocks scale.
