Mount-discounts?!

Hey guys

I'm soon hitting 40, but I simply can't figure out how to get as much discount on my mount as possible.

I know begin revered with my home-faction yields a 10 % discount, but I seem to recall that PvP'ing to rank 3 gives another 10 %. However, I've not been able to get this confirmed anywhere...

So my question is, what can I do in order to get the highest discount possible?

That's because it doesn't exist.

Wrong, there is 10% discount with your side (Ally/Horde) vendors for having PvP Rank 3.

Get exalted.

Wrong again, there is no more discount from exalted, only 10% for obtaining revered. Think that in TBC was removed PvP rank discount and introduced 20% at exalted.

10% on honored or above with your own faction and 10% for rank 3 or above will give you a total of 20% for your own faction/race. (= 80g for riding+1mount for level 40)

It's sort of a bracket thing with ranks right? So the top X players will get promoted and so on? Meaning if there's not a lot of competition, I will rank up fast?

Can confirm all of this except the exalted part since I'm not exalted with any of my toons.

My mistake, I always thought it was only reputation that matter, I guess this was changed later. Well can't be right all of the time.

Okay this I know I'm not wrong on, but it is actually really easy to get at least the first 3 ranks in PvP, just kill a bunch of people or do a few battlegrounds. There is a cap on the rank you can get depending you your level.
