Maybe try right clicking the folder that all your wow is in and click properties and make sure 'Read only' is NOT selected

Move the folder elsewhere or copy the realmlist.wtf file to your desktop, edit it the file, then move the file to your WoW folder to "copy and replace" the old realmlist.

Moving the file worked and allowed me to edit the Realmlist in Notepad and move back into the Vanilla wow folder. But when i go to login the launcher Nost still isnt showing up
EDIT: Figured it out, forgot to put the "SET" at the beginning. Thanks for the help guys!

While moving the file works, you should just move the entire WoW folder to somewhere like the Desktop or C:\Games and play from there, so you won't have any wdb issues in the future.

For the WDB issue: you can simply set the "Run as admin" flag on WoW.exe if you want to retain the folder location.
Right click WoW.exe => "Properties" => "Compatibility" tab => Click "Always run as administrator" => [OK]
Although moving the folder pretty much does the job.
