Hi Guys,

my question is: How´s the Pvp on a PvE Server? Will there be BGs or aren´t people interested in them? How´s the world pvp? More like duells? Are there occasionally raids on other faction cities?

I loved Bg- and World-PvP back in Vanilla on a PvP Server, but back then it was more honorable or felt at least so.
It was more 1vs1s or 2vs1 and you´d avoid killing much lower people. Or maybe it just felt like this because of a lower population.

My fear is that, with all the "peacefully" people switching to the Pve Server, all it leaves are the gankers and campers.

PvPers should be happy the "peacefully" people leave the "aggressive" server, this way the competition and world pvp will improve.

Those who whines are the one who consider them self strong to kill people not trained for PvP.

Perhaps they are scared to see how they really sucks fighting against only other skilled people.

Bgs will be there, i hope, and the world pvp will probebly be low at low lvls but at high lvls there will sill be some pvp becouse you can still just switch it on. Raids on cities will happend to, atleast i hope so becouse they are still fun. The main thing is that if you wanna quest you dont have to fear that some high lvl/geared come and kill you.

There are no new news about when and if the server will pop up as i know it.

PvP on the PvE server should be exactly same, because the only difference between the two servers is that on the PvE server, you won't have level 60s running around lowbie zones and ganking every red name they see. You won't have to live in constant fear of a rogue 100-death'ing you in a single stunlock. You won't have to worry about some shithead ganking you while you're fighting quest mobs. etc. etc.

The only difference between the two servers is ganking. PvP in battlegrounds should be no different.

It's exactly the same. The real pvp happens in BGs and Arenas. World PvP is just ganking lowbies who are questing or occasional griefing between competing raids trying to zone at the same instance. The truth is the only time there is world pvp on a pvp server is when people are levelling and its usually higher level players trying to feel superior for 1 shotting those lowbies. After players hit level cap its all BG's or random ganking.

Arenas offer the best pvp on the server, even if you're on a pve server.

Simply put: the challenge level rises big time for active pvp'ers.

You flag off towns, I.e., npc guards, merchants and questgivers.

People flag in the defense. It's much more "war" like...instead if some poor sod getting camped on some hill top in Feralas.

This should appeal to dedicated pve'ers, and the wanton reaction to form town raids, should be met by the reaction of guilds/players, who wish to defend.

Some of my best Vanilla days were spent in defending Tarren Mill, or full out guild raiding Redridge.

It felt like World of WARcraft....not World of "I'm looking for an easy honor kill" No-Challenge-Craft.

I think you will see lot of /dueling.

I'll be doing lot's of BG's on the PvE server. And even some world PvP, when I choose to. I don't like having it forced upon me.

Some will probably also push rank 14 for the weapons. The competition probably won't be too hard either, so it's not too bad of an idea, especially for rogues (dem weapons and pants).
